Reebok (Background)

In 1890 in Holcombe Brook, a small village in
England, Joseph William Foster was making a living producing regular running shoes when he came up with the idea to create a novelty spiked running shoe. After his ideas progressed he joined with his sons, and founded a shoe company named J.W. Foster and Sons in 1895.

In 1960, two of the founder's grandsons named the company Reebok. The name comes from the African word rhebok a type of antelope. They continued to manufacture shoes and eventually in 1979, Paul Fireman, a US sporting goods distributor, saw a pair of Reeboks at an international trade show and negotiated to sell them in North America.

A subsidiary of Adidas, Reebok has really formed a name of its own around the world. The sportswear company has endorsed many pro athletes around the world including Emmitt Smith, Shaquille O'Neal, Martin Brodeur, Sidney Crosby and Allen Iverson just to name a few. They have built their name well over the last few years.
Everyone is saying he looks like a bust after being drafted 3rd overall in 2006 after leading Texas to a BCS Title. Look at the facts before calling him a bust.

In his rookie season he was thrown in as the starter after an 0-3 start. Yet he almost got them to the playoffs as he finished the season 8-5 and missed it by one game.

The next season, okay he threw more interceptions than touchdowns and didn't have spectacular stats. But he did get them a 10-6 record and got to the playoffs.

Then last season he got injured in the first game, Collins filled in, played the role of game-manager well and replaced Young as the starter. Obviously Young was having problems in his personal life and his head wasn't in the game, and let's face it, he was immature.

Now he's had over a year to sit on the sidelines, reflect on his play and has been able to learn from a veteran like Kerry Collins. He's not the same Vince Young that we saw last year. He's had time to develop now instead of being thrown in the fire before he was ready.

If you're giving up on him I got 2 words for ya. Eli Manning. Looked like a bust too didn't he? He now has a Super Bowl and has showed he can lead his team. So don't give up on Young and discover the correct definition of a bust, JeMarcus Russell.

Tennessee Titans: They're Back Baby!!

We started 0-6 aftere a disappointing finish to last season. Collins was struggling, fans were calling for Fisher's head. The Titans are now reborn. They're Young again as the future and now the present has returned as the starter and has gotten Tennessee their first win of the season. He will one day lead his team to glory and he just took the first step.
